Eukhora is a small downloadable world for people who make music. You walk around it. Other producers are in there at the same time. You can play them what you made, sit down at a desk and work on something together, or take a track into a battle and find out what a room of strangers actually thinks of it.
It runs on Windows. It's free. It is genuinely unfinished — this page exists so you can be told when it's worth your evening.
Six islands and a hub
Two ways to battle
Bring something
Submit a finished track, thirty to forty-five seconds. Best of three. A track can only ever be entered once — the server keys on the audio itself, so you can't run the same winner twice.
Cook live
Head to head, on a timer, building from a shared sample set while people watch. Your DAW connects to the room, which is how anyone knows the thing in front of them is actually being made.
- Judging is blind
- Voters rate on a slider and don't see whose entry it is until after. Friend votes are silently discounted.
- You get the breakdown
- After a battle you see the spread of what people actually scored you — the feedback you can't get from a repost.
- Two separate ladders
- Prepared and live don't share a rank, because they aren't the same skill.
- Stakes are optional and only ever against a person
- You can put Sparks on a challenge. A bot can never be wagered against — the server refuses it.
The desk
Every studio has one. Sit down at it and your audio goes to the room, so the people standing there hear what you hear. That's the whole mechanic. You take turns, you layer over each other, or you just put something on and nobody says anything for a while.
Your own studio can be open to everyone, to people you follow, to friends, or to nobody.
Where this actually is
- Working the world, six islands, battles and the bracket, blind judging, table games, the economy, voice, the admin tooling.
- In progress collaboration polish, the loading and travel screens, island density, a lot of visual work.
- Not yet a public server. Right now it runs on a machine in a room, which is why this is a waitlist and not a download button.
No release date, because I don't have one worth printing.
